Loads & dispatch

Load management and dispatch

Build each load with its stops, time windows and driver pay, then send it to a driver's phone. Your load list shows where every load stands as the driver answers: Sent, Seen, Accepted, In Progress or Completed. Search by reference, carrier or driver, and filter the list by driver or job type.

  • As many stops as the load needs, each with its pickup or delivery window
  • Each driver's answer updates on the load the moment they open or accept it
  • A text message to the driver when a load is assigned, once they opt in

Driver app

Driver app for trucking companies

Your drivers get FreightOps on iPhone or Android. Their home screen shows the current trip, every stop in order with its ETA and miles, and one button for what comes next. When the truck reaches a stop, the app records Arrived; when it pulls away, Left. Paperwork goes in through the app's camera, and every load has its own chat with the office.

  • Arrived and Left recorded at each stop from the phone's location
  • One camera for bills of lading, PODs, receipts and truck photos
  • Load chat translated between seven languages

AI document scanning

AI scanning for rate confirmations, BOLs and receipts

Upload or photograph the rate confirmation and route pages. FreightOps reads them, matches the stops across the pages and fills in the load form for you to check and save. Receipt photos become expense records, bills of lading and other trip papers are filed under your own document types, and anything unclear waits in Review Uploads.

  • Rate confirmations and route pages read into a new load, stops included
  • Receipts read into expenses, scale tickets into hourly trips
  • Approve each upload or send it back to the driver with a reason

Driver pay

Driver pay and settlements

Set the driver's pay on each load as a flat amount, a percentage or an hourly rate. When the trip closes, the pay is on the load and the driver can see it. Pay through Stripe from FreightOps, or pay by bank transfer and mark it paid. Each driver sees what they earned, what is still unpaid and where every payout stands.

  • Flat, percentage or hourly pay on every load
  • Stripe payouts, or a bank transfer you mark paid
  • Drivers see Requested, Processing and Paid on their own phone

Office work

Dispatch and office software for trucking

Freight loads and hourly jobs run from one office account. Manage Loads lists every load with its driver and schedule. Each job opens on its own operations screen: the live map, the sites, the crews and every truck's status, with scale tickets, time card exports, billing and pay a click away. Drivers, trucks, Review Uploads, IFTA and chat sit in the same menu.

  • Freight and hourly work in one list, filtered by job type or driver
  • Move one truck or a whole group to another site from the job screen
  • Scale tickets, time card exports, billing and pay for each job

Live tracking

Live truck tracking for freight and jobs

On a freight load, the live trip route shows the truck, the stops still to run and how many are done. With auto check-in on, a stop completes itself when the truck arrives, and its Arrived and Left times land on the load. On a job, the map shows every site and every truck working it, each truck coloured by the site it is at or driving to, so you can watch trips cycle from the pit to the fill.

  • A live trip route for every freight load, stop by stop
  • One job map with every truck, its site and its trips
  • An Equipment map with every truck and trailer where it was last seen

How a load moves through FreightOps

  1. Create the load

Type it in, or upload the rate confirmation and let FreightOps fill in the form.

  2. Assign a driver

Pick the driver and the truck. The load lands on their phone to accept.

  3. The driver runs it

Stops tick off as the truck arrives and leaves, with the ETA and miles to each one.

  4. Check the paperwork

Bills of lading, PODs and receipts arrive in Review Uploads to approve or send back.

  5. Pay the driver

The driver's pay is already on the load. Pay through Stripe or mark it paid.

Yes. Upload or scan the rate confirmation and route pages, and FreightOps fills in the load form, stops included. You check the form and save.

Does it track the truck when the app is in the background?

Yes, during active loads and with the driver’s consent. Fully closing the app stops background tracking.
